Hold It Up collective will hold a collaging and zine making workshop focusing on the impact of Queer Literature.
The children's book, Jenny Lives With Eric And Martin, illustrated with photographs of the author's daughter and their two neighbours, showed a young girl spending the weekend with her father and his male partner. This book caused outrage and is considered to have been one of the scandals that sparked Section 28, due to being seen as gay propaganda.
We invite you to consider what Queer literature has meant to you. Join us in making collages and zines of books worthy of the honorary legacy of being gay propaganda.
