Hold It Up collective consists of three socially engaged Queer artists based in Leeds - Frankie Mazzotta, Florian Hynam, and Kristina Nenova. The three of us first started collaborating while studying Fine Art at university and decided to form a collective and continue working together.
Our work concentrates on the usage of art, banner making, archives and collection of oral histories as tools of activism and promoting a sense of community.
We do so through art, collaborating, facilitating workshops, and curating longer term projects such as our upcoming Section 28 project starting this September.
We also run Bookish Type's Leeds Queer History tours, check out their website for tickets for upcoming tours or contact us to arrange a private tour.
